During the week of March 10th, Chase Bowes served as a page with the Washington State Senate in Olympia.
Bowes was sponsored by Sen. Karen Fraser, D-Olympia. “Chase is a very active young man with a variety of interests and talents that will take him far in life. I am proud to have been able to sponsor him during this last week of session. I am glad that he enjoyed his experience here,” Fraser said.
Bowes first heard about the page program after his brother went through it. He has found going to the floor and listening to the Senators vote to be the most interesting part of the week. When asked what advice Bowes would give future pages, he said “Be open minded, and soak in all of the things you are seeing.”
Bowes, 14, lives in Lacey where he attends Komachin Middle School.
