The Lacey Joggernauts have been a Run & Walk club since 2018 hosted by an all volunteer group of awesome people. We meet outside the Thrive Community Fitness Center each week for a free 5K (3.1 miles) and/or 8K (5 miles) run/walk. Each we we go on a new route through the neighborhoods or on the Chehalis Trail. It is never a boring routine.

Our name, Joggernauts, says it all. You can Jog or Not (walk). We meet at 9am, sign in, and get ready to roll out. This group is open to the entire community no matter what your age or ability. Young, old, fit, not-so-fit, kids, dogs, and strollers are all welcome.

Once you join us for 10 times or more, you receive a free medal from the Lacey Joggernauts. How cool is that? Oh and we have some of the coolest shirts available for purchase as well. That’s how we pay for those free medals.

Our goal is to give the community a free option to add to their fitness routine. From beginner to more advanced participant, you are sure to find someone to walk with or help keep a steady pace with.

Local medical groups and businesses are gearing up for The Olympia Free Clinic’s 2nd Annual Softball Tournament on August 16 at 9 a.m. at Yauger Park. All event proceeds will support The Olympia Free Clinic’s (TOFC) mission of providing no-cost medical, mental health, and specialty care to uninsured and underinsured adults in our community.

SUMMER FARM AND NURSERY TOURS AT BURNT RIDGE NURSERY

Burnt Ridge Nursery will be hosting a public farm and nursery tour, with founder Michael Dolan leading the way as he shares all about their 20 acres of organic fruit and nuts. He’ll show crop plants, including hazelnuts, chestnuts, figs, mulberries, blueberries, kiwis,
and more! Cultivation and propagation techniques will be discussed, as well as varieties that do well here in the Pacific Northwest. A fruit sample plate will be provided after the tour.
Tickets must be purchased in advance. Single Tickets are $15, Party of 3 is $35, Party of 4 is $40.
Tickets can be purchased online, on our website at www.burntridgenursery.org or by calling our office at 360-985-2873.

There are 2 tour times scheduled each day. All of the events will be held outside.

Come celebrate the WET Science Center’s 15th anniversary with a classic birthday party! Get a glimpse into the building’s construction, play games, make crafts, and enjoy a birthday treat. Join us at 1pm for a tour of LOTT’s wastewater treatment plant. Tour participants must be 10 or older and wear closed-toe, closed-heel shoes.

Zumba in the Park Olympia Lacey (ZIP) kicks off at East Bay Public Plaza (in front of the Hands On Children’s museum) on Saturday, June 7, 2025 at 2 pm.
Join us for our fifteenth year of providing free family fun and fitness at various parks throughout the county. These activities are organized by a group of volunteer licensed and experienced Zumba®️ instructors who love to share their passion for active living.
Enjoy 90 minutes of dancing to a variety of rhythms, easy to follow and lots of fun. Children who enjoy dancing are welcome with adult supervision. No child care available.

Toyota of Olympia is proud to announce the Driven by Community Block Party, a high-energy summer event that brings together local car enthusiasts, families, and small businesses for an unforgettable evening of culture and connection.

Set to take place at the Toyota of Olympia dealership on Saturday, August 16th from 3:00 PM to 10:00 PM, this free, family-friendly gathering will showcase custom cars, live music from local DJs, food trucks, games, and a vibrant celebration of what makes the South Sound community special.

“Driven by Community isn’t just about the cars, it’s about the people,” said Amber Markland, Marketing Manager at Toyota of Olympia. “We’re honored to support and connect with the community we serve every day, and this event is our way of giving back and creating space to celebrate together.”

Join us as we walk and enjoy the nature in the cemetery. Masonic Memorial Park Operations Manager, Lindsay Andersen, will tell us about the special trees in the park. Includes art activities for adults and kids – foraging, tree bark rubbings, making cyanotypes and making a Nature Journal. Refreshments will be provided.  Jointly organized by Death Dancer, the Masonic Memorial Park and Funeral Alternatives.

Each artist is interviewed briefly onstage for a taping of the podcast Low Profile.

Local merchants plus food and beverages available on site, lawn chairs encouraged. Earplugs and sunscreen provided free of charge.

Sign up for our biking garden tour! Bike a five-mile loop, stopping at three gardens of current and past board members who will show you around their growing spaces.
We’ll meet at a location on the west side of Olympia, go over the route and safety rules, and bike in a group to each gardens. At each location, we’ll get a tour of the garden before moving on to the next. At the final location, we’ll socialize over gelato and enthuse about our favorite vegetables, fruits, and flowers. It’s going to be a lovely time!
