Help the Bees and Butterflies – Reed Canarygrass Stomp And Meadow Pollinator Plantings
Come out to Mission Creek Nature Park on Saturday, April 2, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. to help improve the local habitat. We will be planting native wildflowers in the small meadows at the Park to support pollinators and stomping down reed canary grass around this winter’s plantings in the wetland to allow these plants to thrive over the spring and summer. Meet at the San Francisco Street Entrance to Mission Creek Nature Park. Waterproof boots recommended, please dress for the weather!
This project is a collaboration between Mission Creek Park Stewards, Stream Team, and the City of Olympia Water Resources Habitat Stewardship Program. Contact Jesse Barham for more information at jbarham@ci.olympia.wa.us.
