The Tumwater-based Stately Speakers Toastmasters Club is offering a free presentation aimed at helping people conquer their fear of public speaking.
The presentation, scheduled for noon Feb. 27, will offer techniques to help speakers relax, move through their fear and project confidence.
It is the first installment of a 10-part “Better Speaker” series designed to help participants improve their public speaking and communication skills. Other presentations, which will be offered throughout the year, will focus on topics such as impromptu speaking, organizing a speech, and how to start a speech.
The presentations will be incorporated into regular club meetings. The club meets from 12:05 to 12:55 p.m. each Thursday at the Edna Lucille Goodrich Bldg., 7345 Linderson Way SW, Tumwater.
