Thurston County Resource Hub Invites Community to Annual Block Party
Free event includes 70+ community organizations, 8 mobile units, haircuts, and health screenings.
The Thurston County Resource Hub invites the community to the 2nd Annual Block Party on Wednesday, August 13, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 929 Lakeridge Dr. SW in Olympia. This free, family-friendly event features live music, food, games, and activities for all ages.
Attendees will have the opportunity to connect with more than 70 local organizations and eight mobile units offering resources in housing, employment, behavioral health, public benefits, legal assistance, health screenings, haircuts, pet grooming, vet care, and more.
About the Thurston County Resource Hub:
The Resource Hub, located in Olympia at the Thurston County Courthouse Campus, is a drop-in resource center for people with behavioral health needs who are impacted by the justice system.
The Hub is open four days a week and offers support during tough times for community members. Staff can help navigate community resources, including behavioral health, employment, education, housing, public benefits, healthcare, and legal support. Representatives from county, state, and community-based social service programs are on-site and ready to help explore options for support.
