Cere Demuth, a practicing psychotherapist specializing in trauma, addiction, and attachment, will be here to discuss her book “The Way We Stay.” In the midst of a painful, high-risk adolescence, Cere invites the reader into her internal world as a teenage mother in 1985, an adoptive mom in 2000, and a psychotherapist of twenty-five years desperately trying to heal her family and herself from the suffering of her only son’s opiate addiction for twelve years. This program is sponsored by the Friends of the Lacey Timberland Library. This presentation is part of the Lacey Timberland Library’s year-long “The Place We’re In” program series.
