Cast your net and see fish up close at the TESC Forage Fish Beach Seine! Stream Team and the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife will catch and release forage fish, specifically surf smelt and coastal cutthroat trout, to tag and track a sample of the population. Come explore a part of this critical food web in South Puget Sound. Data collected will enable fishery biologists to learn about fish populations and marine movement patterns of these two local species. Participants can help pull the net to shore and identify and talk about the species found.
Limited parking at TESC, Lot F. A van shuttle is available, leaving from Parking Lot F (Driftwood Road) at 5:30 p.m.
