Local students from Olympia Christian School are participating in a “Serve-a-thon”. About 40 students from kindergarten through 8th grade will take a full day to perform various community service projects. Some of the younger students will be singing and visiting nursing homes while older students will be downtown visiting the homeless communities. There will be small groups at Sylvester Park, Artesian Commons and the Downtown Transit Center handing out “comfort kits,” food, supplies and support. Students are also preparing a meal for Quixote Village.
Groups should be downtown between 10a-12:30 p Tuesday, May 9th. If you see them, give them a thumbs up!
