Storytelling with Don Trosper

Pioneer University, a series of public presentations from the Tumwater Historical Association, continues on Thursday, March 19, 2020, at 5:00 pm at Tumwater First Baptist Church at “X” Street and Elm in Tumwater. The presenter for this session is former THA president, retired radio broadcaster, and current Public History Manager for the Olympia Tumwater Foundation, Don Trosper. Don will discuss storytelling as it relates to traditions passed down from generations past, the different forms of storytelling, and how the qualities that make a good story are not just for people in the public eye but are also for parents and grandparents, writers, musicians, and our everyday communications with friends and family. Don will also offer practical ways to improve communication skills for those who do not want to become public speakers but who may find themselves in such a situation.
