Stories in the Park, Stories in the Dark: features live storytelling told in the ancient tradition without notes. Storytellers from the South Sound Story Guild tell folktales, humorous stories, and spooky stories. Fun for adults and children who can listen. Saturday, August 13, from 7-9 pm at Squaxin Park (formally Priest Point Park). Bring lawn chairs, or blankets and friends. Follow the hot pink signs to the east side of the park. Free, donations gladly accepted. Music and sing-alongs.
South Sound Story Guild is a non-profit community organization, preserving the ancient art of oral storytelling and encouraging literacy, community, family stories, personal history and developing storyteller’s skills.
We are always looking for new listeners who may want to share their stories. So come to hear and come again to our monthly guild meetings, the 2nd Wednesdays of the month at Harbor House and on zoom. Look us up at southsoundstory.org.
