Enterprise for Equity is launching The Scatter Creek Incubator Farm and is leasing small parcels of land to beginning farmers on 33 acres of prime farmland near Rochester, WA. South of the Sound Community Farm Land Trust and Enterprise for Equity invite you to our Incubator Farm Introduction and Scatter Creek Farm and Conservancy Open House.
Enterprise for Equity is incubating farmers and supporting them and other food producers in the early stages of their business before they expand to larger pieces of land. These entrepreneurs have completed Enterprise for Equity’s Agri-Preneurship Training Program, written business plans and now have access to land, microloans, and support in reaching new markets with assistance from staff and our farm specialist.
Schedule of Events:
5:30 – Meet us on the farm for light refreshments
6:15 – Hear and see how the Incubator Farm works, meet entrepreneurs and learn how Enterprise for Equity’s Homegrown Initiative is assisting local producers to grow and sell their food in the South Sound.
7:15-8:30 – Tour Scatter Creek Farm & Conservancy. Meet with SSCFLT and other Scatter Creek Farm & Conservancy partners, and enjoy a lovely sunset on the farm.
