Celtic + Castilian fiddle duo, San Miguel Fraser is composed of María San Miguel and Galen Fraser. These multi-instrumentalists and educators celebrate the values of community and traditional music in their unique chamber ensemble style.
This powerhouse couple weaves together their varied cultural and musical upbringings to present a celebration of what happens when two masters of traditional and contemporary Folk music of Northern Spain and Scotland/Northern California approach their art form with a progressive and modern twist. Their melodies and energy leave audiences and students buzzing and hungry for more. With duo fiddles, cittern, harmony singing, percussion, movement, and more, they have an uplifting and motivating effect on all who listen. Their long-awaited duo album is scheduled to be released in the fall of 2023.
