Poetry Writing Workshop

Spend an evening learning about and writing your own Ekphrastic poetry with Poet/Teacher Patty Kinney, MFA.

Ekphrastic poetry is the conversation between two pieces of art. The poet interprets a work of visual art and then creates a narrative in verse form that represents his or her reaction to that painting, photograph, sculpture or other artistic creation. Patty will supply plenty of art and photographs for several writing exercises.

Kinney holds an MFA in Creative Writing from Antioch University. Her work has appeared in many journals including: The Sun, The Crab Creek Review, Floating Bridge Review, and  occupypoetry.org.
