Plant Clinic and Container Workshop

The Grays Harbor and Pacific County Master Gardeners will hold a Plant Clinic and Container Workshop at Westport Winery on Saturday, July 27 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. This clinic is offered for free and all ages are welcome to attend. Those interested in attending may drop in at any time during the hours listed and can stay as long as they like. No reservations are required.

Guests are invited to bring sick plants or challenging questions to the volunteer Master Gardeners to get help on how to overcome problems in the garden. In addition, guests are encouraged to bring empty containers that will be filled with potting soil for free. As they make plant selections in Westport Winery’s nursery the Master Gardeners will offer design tips and suggestions on how to create the most stunning container garden.

A portion of the proceeds of Westport Winery’s Little Wild Blackberry Riesling benefits the Grays Harbor and Pacific County Master Gardeners. Wine club members are reminded that they receive a 10% discount on all nursery purchases including plants and high-fired ceramic containers.

Westport Winery and Vineyards By-the-Sea with the outdoor sculpture garden, grape maze, and bakery, is located on the corner of Highway 105 and South Arbor Road halfway between Aberdeen and Westport. The winery, bakery, gift shop, nursery, and restaurant open daily at 11 a.m. with lunch offered daily from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. On Friday and Saturday dinner is served from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. and dinner reservations are recommended by calling 360-648-2224.
