Pickleball Courts Grand Opening

Pickleball is a racquet sport that combines elements of badminton, tennis, and table tennis.  Two, three, or four players use solid paddles made of wood or composite materials to hit a perforated polymer ball, similar to a wiffle ball, over a net.

Lacey City Council members and Park Board of Commissioners will hit the inaugural pickleballs, and local pickleball enthusiasts will be onsite to demonstrate and teach the sport.  Drop-in play will be available on the new pickleball courts, and the adjacent pickleball-lined tennis courts, until dusk.
