Saturday December 7th is the annual Olympia Yacht Club (OYC) Parade of Lighted Ships a holiday tradition for many South Sound families! This year’s festivities include The Capital HIgh Choir, the Jingle Bus with The Grinch and of course Santa & Mrs. Claus. Batdorf & Bronson will offer complimentary hot cocoa and coffee. While the parade begins promptly at 6pm; spectators are urged to arrive by 5:30 to hear the Choir, meet Santa Claus and ensure they’re present for the Parade start. Best viewing is from the Port Plaza Park/Tower in front of Anthony’s restaurant (701 NW Columbia St., Olympia). Be sure to bundle up warm for the weather.
For those who wish to watch the Parade from points along Budd Inlet the fleet will sail from the Percival Landing area past the Port Plaza Dock starting at 6:00 PM and then north along the east side of Budd Inlet to Boston Harbor. The boats will return to Olympia by 8:00 PM along the west side of Budd Inlet.
