Olympia Yacht Club’s 2016 Parade of Lighted Ships

The 2016 Lighted Ships Parade is an annual event sponsored by the Olympia Yacht Club (OYC) but open to all lighted boats. It starts about 5:00 PM on Saturday December 3 with the decorated boats sailing north from the downtown Olympia past the Judge’s Boat at the Port Plaza Dock and then north along the east side of Budd Inlet as far as Boston Harbor. The boats then return to Olympia along the west side of Budd Inlet. Good viewing points include the waterfront restaurants in downtown Olympia and West Bay, Percival Landing, the Port Plaza, Boston Harbor and anywhere on East or West Bay Drive. Approximately 15 to 20 boats are expected to participate in the two hour parade.
