Mr. Lee’s Class of 2015 Class Play
Jerry Berebitsky, Director

This challenging selection by Olympia Waldorf’s eighth grade tells the story of an inventor of an engine that runs on water. The story tracks his progress and interaction with big business as he tries to patent, produce and share his engine with the world. The play takes place in Chicago in 1934 in and around the Century of Progress Exposition.

The play is presented with a unique theatrical device. It is presented simultaneously as both a radio and live drama. The atmosphere of our setting is that of a live radio broadcast.

The piece runs an hour and a half with an intermission.

The Water Engine is presented by special arrangement with Samuel French, Inc.
