Olympia Poetry Network’s featured reader for January is Oregon poet Charles Goodrich.

The event is set for Wednesday, January 15, 6:30-8 p.m. at Traditions Café, 5th Ave & Water Street. Goodrich is the author of three books of poetry including A Scripture of Crows, and a collection of essays.  He co-edited the volume In the Blast Zone: Catastrophe and Renewal on Mount St. Helens. His poems have been read more than a dozen times by Garrison Keillor on “The Writer’s Almanac.” Following a long career as a professional gardener, he now serves as Director for the Spring Creek Project for Ideas, Nature, and the Written Word at Oregon State University. His website is: www.charlesgoodrich.com. An Open Mic will precede the featured reader.  The event is free.
