Find out how a Critique Group works! The Olympia Poetry Network is hosting the Fusions Writing Group during its monthly reading on Wednesday, August 21, from 6:30-8:00 p.m. The event takes place at Traditions Café, 300 5th Ave SW in downtown Olympia.
Members of the group will read ‘list poems’ that they have written and talk about how they encourage and support each other’s writing. Members of the audience are invited to read their own ‘list poem’ during the Open Mic session. A list poem is an inventory or litany of things that have some common thread. The poem does not have to rhyme or to have any certain rhythm. As with all poems, being original and creative is best! This event is free of charge.
