Spend the day giving back to the Nisqually River watershed at our MLK Jr. Day of Service volunteer work parties.
We need your help to take care of our Powell Creek Protected Area. This Monday, we will pull invasive plants, remove fencing that’s a barrier to wildlife movement, and remove plant protector tubes from old plantings that have outgrown them.
The work party has two shifts: 9AM-12PM and 1-3:30PM, with an hour break between. If you plan on staying all day, please register for both shifts, so we don’t exceed our parking capacity!
Working at this site will involve a half mile walk across a field.
Register via Eventbrite (click on “Tickets” for the link) for directions to the worksite.
Work parties are rain or shine. Individual, pre-packaged, light snacks are provided. Minors are welcome provided they are accompanied by an adult.
