Please join the WSU Extension Master Gardeners, Master Recycler Composters, and Master Gardener Foundation of Thurston County for a day of gardening, composting, and recycling educational activities. Attend educational workshops and demos encouraging people to garden and reduce waste

Cost: $5 entrance fee, cash or check only-paid onsite

Registration: No pre-registration, but space is limited to room capacity. Seats are filled on a first come, first served basis.

For a small entrance fee, participants will have access to a series of gardening, composting and recycling workshops, informational and interactive booths and live demonstrations. The booths will address what can/can’t go in your recycle bin, insects, hugelkultur, gardening adaptations, hummingbirds, irrigation, yard and food waste composting, gardening book recommendations, square foot gardening and a free table. Live demonstrations will show participants proper planting techniques, yoga stretches for gardeners, and how to make your own worm bin. Select plants, garden art, and recycled hand-crafts will also be for sale.
