Craig and Cindy Corrie visited Iyad Burnat and his family in Bil’in on numerous occasions. Bil’in is most well-known for its weekly Friday demonstrations against Israeli land theft and ongoing for over 10 years. Iyad and the Bil’in Popular Committee who organized persistent and creative demonstrations were featured in the Oscar-nominated ‘Five Broken Cameras’ film. Now, you have a chance to hear Iyad speak about Bil’in’s decades-long struggle for justice and freedom through his first-hand experience.
These events are free but please note some are potluck dinner and there is a request to bring a dish to share. The events are sponsored by the Rachel Corrie Foundation for Peace and Justice and friends of the Foundation throughout the Puget Sound area. Donations and book purchases are welcome!
