Discover how the Lacey Volunteer Fire Department got started through the hard work and ingenuity of its early residents who were dedicated to the safety of their community. Paul R. Webb, author of History of the Lacey Fire Department – The First Decade and son of pioneering firefighter Dick Webb, will share his insights on the service club origins of the fire department and the work of its many volunteers to provide 24 hour-a-day fire and medical protection to Lacey and Thurston County.
