No one wants to experience pain. Yet pain exists in our life regardless of our circumstances. We can struggle against it and in effect, intensify and prolong our suffering. Or, we can learn to sit with our discomfort and thereby open ourselves to growth and spiritual progress. Happiness is a state of mind. The function of meditation is to make the mind peaceful and calm. We can then use this clear, spacious mind to improve the quality of our experiences in daily life.
Buddha taught effective methods for working through mental and physical suffering. In this workshop, we will explore some of those methods and practice guided meditations to heal the body and mind.
