Fine Art Postcard Exhibit Closing Reception and Silent Auction

The Olympia area has a long association with the old Olympia Beer slogan, “It’s the Water.” Now, local and regional artists offer their interpretations of the slogan at the “It’s the Water” Fine Art Postcard Exhibition. The annual exhibition returns to The Gallery at the Kenneth J. Minnaert Center for the Arts beginning Jan. 13.

The exhibit features 76 artists who submitted nearly 300 pieces, using a vast range of materials. Each piece was donated by the artist for the exhibition’s silent auction, which begins at 7 p.m. during the Friday, Jan. 17 opening reception. Bidding will be open until 7 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 21, the exhibit’s closing reception.

The Gallery hosts the exhibition during its regular hours, which are Monday to Friday from noon to 4 p.m. The Gallery is also open by appointment.
