Black Lake Grange hosts its Fall Festival and Open House with something for the whole family, from noon to 5:00 on Saturday, October 12. For kids, there will be a tractor and fire truck display, games, prizes, and free hot dogs and ice cream. There will be a cider press, so bring your own apples to juice.
There will be two live workshops: a mushroom patch installation at 2:00 with the Olympia Mycelial Network, and a sharpening class at 3:00 with Lowell Cordas. Info booths from local agricultural groups will include the Evergreen Shellfish Club and the Pacific Coast Shellfish Growers Association, the South Sound Fruit Society, Olympia Beekeepers Association, 4-H, Master Gardeners, and South of the Sound Community Farm Land Trust. Free!
