Engagement 101: A Taste of Teaching in GRuB Style

In order to reach more people and offer our key strategies for success when working with youth, GRuB will be offering a one-day training in addition to our more intensive GRuB Institute (for more information about our 3-day Institute, click here). Participants will leave this training with tools that can be implemented when working in a classroom, outdoors, or in the community with youth and can be applied to nearly any type of curriculum subject.

Participants will learn about:

– Theoretical foundations of the GRuB School Curriculum
– Setting Shared Standards and other tools for Group Development
– Ways to integrate kinesthetic learning into curriculum
– Facilitation practices that establish a culture of engagement and youth leadership
– Communication styles that promote equality, respect, and success with students
