The OverDrive Digital Bookmobile, a 74-foot semi-truck and trailer equipped with computers and mobile devices will be parking at the Tumwater Timberland Library on Monday, May 6 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., and the public is welcome aboard.
Staff from the Tumwater library, Timberland Regional Library and Overdrive, the library’s digital distributor of downloadable e-books, audiobooks, music and video, will be on hand to welcome people and help them navigate the high-tech update of the traditional bookmobile.
Visitors can navigate the Gadget Gallery, Audiobook Alley, the eBook Experience, Digital Catalog and Video Lounge and learn how to access the library’s digital titles for free.
People will see precisely how digital media items are checked out on computers and devices, including iPhone®, iPad®, Nook®, Android™ phones and tablets, and Kindle®. They’ll have an opportunity to try out a range of devices or learn to make better use of the ones they already own.
