It is a great pleasure to announce that Dean Spade will speak at Evergreen on April 20th 2016, 5:30-7:00 in the Recital Hall. The title of the talk is “Critical Trans Politics and the Limits of Law.”
Professor of Law at Seattle University, Dean Spade is an internationally prominent scholar/activist. Professor Spade’s many publications and media projects pursue intersectional analyses, including particularly influential work on the systemic violence directed at trans people of color within contexts of state security and incarceration.
