After moving to the Northwest, she became enchanted with the diverse bounty of local fruits and vegetables and has not only taught vegetarian cooking classes in Seattle since 1990, but has also written The Northwest Vegetarian (available at Bayview), a brilliant compilation of locally-inspired vegetarian recipes.
