Learn what it means to choose the Buddhist way of life. You will receive answers to many questions you may have about the Buddhist way of life. The basis of the Buddhist way life is using Buddha’s Dharma teachings as spiritual instructions to develop and maintain lasting inner peace and happiness. These teachings are encouragement and the methods to create the deep spiritual realizations within our mind that directly protect ourself from suffering. Since all our fears and sufferings arise from our own uncontrolled minds, our real refuge is Dharma, Buddha’s teachings.

To accomplish this we need the blessings of Buddha, the spiritual doctor who gives us the unsurpassed medicine of holy Dharma that perfectly heals our troubled minds.
We also need to rely on the Sangha, our spiritual friends and pure community, who are like nurses helping us to take this precious medicine of Dharma correctly.

Gen Wangpo will explain how to develop and cultivate a heart-felt reliance on the Three Jewels (Buddha, Dharma and Sangha) and create the necessary inner conditions that protect us from suffering and help us to progress swiftly along the spiritual path. We can even make a promise to rely on Buddha, Dharma and Sangha, which is the actual refuge vow. Gen Wangpo will also explain how to keep the refuge vows and then grant the vows.

All welcome! There will also be a refuge retreat the week of March 13th.
