Come celebrate the release of the juvenile Chinook salmon on the Deschutes River! Juvenile salmon will be released from the current WDFW holding ponds at Tumwater Falls Park into the river for their journey out to sea. The public will have an opportunity to help release some of these juvenile salmon.
Family-friendly, hands-on salmon-related activities will be available, and Stream Team Salmon Stewards will answer questions about the Deschutes Chinook run.
If you would like to volunteer for a shift in the Stream Team booth, contact Debbie Smith at dmsmith@ci.tumwater.wa.us or (360) 754-4148. Volunteers will receive a free Stream Team t-shirt. Community service hours are available for high school students.
