Believing is Seeing: Developing Faith in Faith: A Meditation Class

Although most of us like the idea of faith, many people believe that faith implies leaps, involves suspending disbelief, or is somehow irrational. According to Buddhism, however, faith comes from personal experience of the practice of Buddha’s teachings, which are based in logic and reason. Our faith develops gradually over time in our heart and gives rise to a wish to deepen our experience, as well as joyous effort for more practice. Also, rather than fearing doubt, we use our doubts to actually help us go deeper into our understanding, and thereby increase our faith. With faith everything is possible.

This class is being offered in celebration of Buddha’s enlightenment. We will have a special chanted meditations in the afternoon as part of the celebration. Everyone is welcome to attend free of charge.
