The Washington Center is excited to reveal the 25/26 Season! Get ready to laugh, sing and dance this season! There are countless opportunities to create unforgettable memories at the Center. As Executive Director Jill Barnes says ” At the Washington Center for the Performing Arts, we believe in the power and magic of live performances to stir the soul, spark joy, and shift the way we see the world. This season is bursting with unforgettable moments, designed to entertain,  you, surprise you, and leave a lasting imprint on your heart. Whether you’re sharing laughter with friends, making memories with family, or feeding your creative spirit, there’s something here for everyone.”

This season we invite you to come laugh with us. We have the political satire of The Capitol Fools, the slapstick vaudevillian humor of Reduced Shakespeare Company’s The Ultimate Christmas Show, along with Ladies of Laughter, Seattle International Comedy Competition, and God is a Scottish Drag Queen returning with a new Halloween show! We also have our Comedy Underground Series in the Black Box Theater and our Silent Movie Series this season featuring comedy greats Charlie Chaplin and Buster Keaton! So many reasons to laugh!

We invite you to come dance with us. From Mariachi to Pink Martini to Yesterday and Today: The Interactive Beatles Experience, we have some musicians that will make you want to get up and dance! Don’t miss Uptown: A Celebration of Motown and Soul, International Guitar Night, Colbie Caillat with Gavin DeGraw, and our Black Box Jazz Series. We also have two musically rich films that might inspire you to move – Dirty Dancing in Concert and Stop Making Sense: A Film by Jonathan Demme and Talking Heads – hosted by Jerry Harrison. Finishing off our season in May, we have the irresistible vocals of The Wailin’ Jennys. So many reasons to feel alive through music.

We invite you to be surprised. There are lots of shows we think will surprise you this season. From the impressive feats of rescue dogs in Chris Perondi’s Stunt Dogs to the wonders captured and shared by photographers Anand Varma and Kike Calvo in our Adventure Series this season. We know you will find surprises in Serial Killers with Dr Scott Bonn, Cirque Mechanics theme-park-inspired “Tilt” and Stories from the Warrior Society which tells us the story of tribal communities through Indigenous veterans and active-duty military. Don’t think that’s all, we also have surprises in An Evening with Fran Lebowitz and her cultural satire, Pilobolus and their groundbreaking physicality, The Naked Magicians, and Wizard of Oz on Ice. So many ways to be surprised.
