For over 35 years, Capital Christian Center has been a pillar in our community, encouraging growth through faith-based strategies and counsel. For Pastor Dave Minton, it’s simple. “As a church, we want to add value to our community,” he shares. “There are those in need, and we have various resources for them, but there are also entrepreneurs and business leaders, and there’s a lot of challenges that go along with that. We want to be a resource for them as well.” Join them June 6-8, 2025, for two events and make an impact on our community with the Marketplace Summit and Moving Mountains Auction.

Business Conference Marketplace Summit is About Increasing

Are you a business owner, entrepreneur, manager or want to be one? Then the Marketplace Summit at Capital Christian Center on June 6 and 7 is for you! This year’s two-day conference will be an intimate gathering of around 100 attendees, allowing you time to ask questions of the seven guest speakers, network with other attendees and learn how to increase….wait what?

Yup, increase. And we aren’t just talking about the dollars in your bank account—though if you follow their advice, that may come too. But it’s about increasing your thinking to increase your life. Don’t worry, America’s #1 authority on increase thinking, Dr. Bob Harrison, will be at the Marketplace Summit to explain this in greater detail. And, two graduates of the Increase Events will also be there to share their success stories: Mike Rovnar who went from a one-person drywall company to being a California developer employing over 300 people, and Tony Williams, a Capital Christan Center member who grew his government contract business from just one contract to a global firm with over 250 consultants.

Mark and Linda Carpenter, originally from Yelm, will also be speaking. Coming from practically nothing, they built their business into the largest apartment development firm in Washington State.

Dave Martin and Pastor Dave Minton will also be speaking on how to use faith to handle adversity and be successful. You will hear about how God wants to help us succeed and Biblical principles that can be used to build and grow a business.

People skills, emotional intelligence, networking and more will be discussed. “We’ve been involved in helping people with business for decades,” shares Pastor Dave. “It comes from the desire to really want to help people succeed. People might not get their taxes set up right, or might not know how to manage payroll or create a business plan. Because we are a spiritual family, we want to try to help people the best we can.”

Breakout luncheons on Saturday will give attendees an even deeper look at specific topics and will have time for Q&A.

“When the business community does well, they become employers,” explains Pastor Dave. “It’s not just about their business succeeding, but it’s what their business means. It means that services are provided and people can be employed. So when we help business do well, we add value to our community and to the families in our community.”

Moving Mountains Auction Provides Scholarships for Youth Summer Programs

We all know it’s important to pay it forward, so after the Marketplace Summit, stay in town for the Moving Mountains Auction on June 8 at Solid Rock Ranch. This important silent and live auction raises funds for scholarships for kids to attend the Solid Rock Ranch summer programs.

“In the last 30 years, we’ve never turned away a student because they couldn’t afford to come,” shares Pastor Dave. The Moving Mountains Auction is a big part of making sure this tradition continues. Monies raised ensure all youth who want to can attend these faith-based camps.

Youth who attend Solid Rock Ranch summer programs come from 10 counties across the state of Washington, from all walks of life and ethnic backgrounds. Volunteers for the programs range in age from teens to those in their 80s, giving kids a unique chance to interact with peers as well as upstanding adults.

Supporting the silent and live auction guarantees more youth have the opportunity to attend this life-altering camp, which teaches kids how to deal with life through faith, provides support and the chance to make life-long friends. Some of the incredible items up this year include professional pickleball lessons; a family pass to Hands On Children’s Museum; ride-along with Sheriff Sanders; a stay at Alderbrook with gift certificate to Hamma Hamma Oyster Bar; one week stay in a two-bedroom condo in Daytona Beach plus $500 vacation money; four-night stay during the kite festival this August in Long Beach; and more!

To register to attend the auction, visit the Solid Rock Foundation website. There are individual tickets and business sponsorships available.

Learn how to grow your business in faith and make a kids’ dreams of summer come true. Join Capital Christian Center and Solid Rock Foundation for an incredible weekend of learning the power of God’s plan in our lives and how to tackle anything—from business to personal—with faith.
