The City of Lacey seeks community members to serve on “For” and “Against” committees for an upcoming ballot proposition related to the creation of a Lacey Metropolitan Park District. These committees will be responsible for drafting corresponding statements to be included in the local voters’ pamphlet.
Each committee may include up to three members. Applicants must be able to communicate by email and agree to work collaboratively with fellow committee members.
Interested individuals must submit an online application by 4:30 p.m. on Friday, April 18, 2025.
Background
On April 1, 2025, the Lacey City Council passed Resolution No. 1166, authorizing the submission of a proposition to City of Lacey qualified voters for approval or rejection. The proposed proposition would establish a Lacey Metropolitan Park District pursuant to Chapter 35.61 RCW.
