The Pierce County Auditor’s office will conduct the February 11, 2025 Special Election for Yelm Community Schools. Pierce County will serve about 20,000 Thurston County voters who reside in the Yelm Community Schools jurisdiction. Thurston and Pierce counties formed an inter-local agreement due to ongoing upgrades at the Thurston County ballot processing facility.
Pierce County mailed ballots to Military and Overseas voters in the Yelm Community School voters on January 10, 2025. Ballots will be mailed to all other Yelm Community School voters on January 24, 2025. The Local Voters’ Pamphlet will be included in the ballot packets.
Five drop boxes in the Yelm Community Schools district will be open during the election:
- Lackamas Elementary
- Nisqually Tribal Admin Building
- Rainier City Hall
- Yelm Schools Administration
- Roy City Hall (Pierce County)
