The top two clubs in the Northwest Division of the USL W League are also two clubs that share a unique title in the entire nation, “undefeated.” The Artesians (1st Place) come into the game two points above United PDX (2nd Place) due to a draw in Eugene, Oregon for the Portland side.

The Artesians have throttled most teams in the Northwest Division but will face its first big test tomorrow night, 630PM doors at South Sound Stadium.

“Last season it was the same way and it was a back and forth battle each match” said Owner Ryan Perkins. “I believe the community is in for a real treat as these two teams meet for the first time in 2024 at our house to set the tone for playoffs tomorrow (Thursday).”

The Artesians have been led by 7 goals from McKenna Martinez (Oregon State University) and stifling defense led by keeper Murphy Sheaff (Kansas State University) and Shu Ohba (Ole Miss University). The hometown team has outscored its opponents 38 to 1 giving up their only goal in Eugene, OR week in week two.

The USL Men kickoff Wednesday June 19 against Capital FC (Salem, OR) in their first match back from a victory last week against Portland. The men have struggled this year to get wins but has the fewest games played in the table and look to go streaking.

Chad Sovde (University of Washington) has scored 4 straight goals for the USL Men’s franchise with three against Crossfire Premier in an exhibition and last Wednesday against United PDX in the 83rd minute to get FC Olympia it’s first three points of the USL League Two season.

Keeper Jackson Ozburn (Santa Clara University) got his first shutout of the year as well in the win with a dozen saves in his name. Tickets available at the FC Olympia website.
