The Thurston Economic Development Council (EDC) is thrilled to announce the return of the Hootenanny for its fourth year! Scheduled for July 25, 2024, from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. this highly anticipated event promises an array of exciting activities designed to engage and entertain Thurston County’s private sector and elected leaders.
Expect a delightful BBQ feast provided by South Sound Dickerson BBQ and live music from the talented Briarfinch. From dunk tanks to hippity-hop races, and perhaps even an entirely fresh and outrageous surprise, the Hootenanny is set to be an unforgettable celebration.
This year, the EDC is particularly excited to highlight the theme of Economic Courage. We will honor organizations that have demonstrated remarkable creativity, tenacity, and resilience in an ever-changing business climate. The Economic Courage Awards recognize businesses that have shown exceptional fortitude and success in the face of economic uncertainty and rapid change.
