With locations from Salem, Oregon, to Lynden, Washington, near the Canadian Border, Bank of the Pacific has grown tremendously since opening its doors in 1972. In late November 2023, a Bank of the Pacific branch in Olympia is opening at 520 Union Avenue SE, bringing its full range of banking services to Thurston County. Keep an eye out for exciting welcoming festivities throughout the winter season.

Bank of the Pacific Comes to Olympia at Last

Lindsay Paylor, a Senior Vice President and Commercial Banking Team Leader, says the Bank’s new full-service Olympia branch is the result of “organic growth,” as they already had an existing commercial loan office in our area. Before now, the closest all-inclusive branch was in Grays Harbor County. Ongoing commercial services will be folded into the new branch within the next few years, she explains.

The new Olympia branch joins a network of conveniently located Bank of the Pacific locations, and will include services like an ITM interactive teller machine, check cashing and in-person customer service representatives. They will also provide retail services like auto loans, a mortgage team for home equity lines of credit (HELOC) and other lending, commercial banking and merchant services for business owners.

If you’re looking for a new banking family, many basic services can be applied for online. Checking and savings accounts, small business loans and money to purchase, build or refinance a home are all available through Bank of the Pacific’s website 24 hours a day.

Bank of the Pacific Works In – and With – the Community

Paylor is no stranger to working in and partnering with our community. She is the board chair-elect of the Hands On Children’s Museum’s Executive Committee and has worked closely with many civic groups and organizations during her time. She’s proud that Bank of the Pacific sponsors HOCM’s annual Gala, and will work to support that tradition into the future.

Bank of the Pacific will host its ribbon cutting and celebratory Open House toast on December 5, 2023, at 4 p.m. This is a great way for clients and customers, new and ongoing, to see the new space and meet the team. On February 15, 2024, they’ll partner with the Thurston County Chamber of Commerce for their monthly Business After Hours event that encourages local business professionals to connect, network and mingle over drinks and appetizers.

Being a Community Bank in Thurston County is Job #1, 2, 3 and 4

Bank of the Pacific believes in fostering what Paylor calls the “whole relationship.” For example, their commercial team works with the business, owners, employees and the community to build a solid future for everyone involved. This well-rounded approach is how they tackle all financial options, and it’s paying off. As their mission says, they hope to “be the best bank for our employees, customers, investors and communities.”

“We are as true a community bank as you can get,” she says, “plus all the professionalism of a big bank. It’s extra critical to be involved in the community we serve and be both a trusted part and active member of that community.”

The bank also partners with Homes First, a local nonprofit dedicated to creating and maintaining affordable rental homes for those in need. Since they started in 1989, Homes First has developed 42 units of low-income housing in Thurston County.
