Head coach for Tumwater, Molly Cichosz, was pleased with her team’s play. “It felt good as last year Black Hills beat us to go to State, so coming out strong and beating them in three felt great,” Cichosz stated after the win. “Moving forward there are a few things we did well and we want to continue doing those basics and now keep building and exaggerating those skills. That will raise our level. Overall, it was a good night and the turnout by the crowd was fun and I’ve not seen a crowd that big for a while here so it was great to have that support.”

First year Wolves coach, Karlee Sampson, was frustrated with many aspects of the match. “It was a tough match and I was disappointed with how we played and some other issues,” sahred Sampson. “The first game we fought hard but in the next two games we have some takeaways we will need to work on along with better execution moving forward. We will build and look forward to the rematch October 10 at Black Hills.”

Tumwater (4-1, 2-0 EVCO) plays at W F West Tuesday. Black Hills (2-3, 1-1 EVCO) hosts Aberdeen on Tuesday. For schedule and standings head to EVCO Schedules for Tumwater or Black Hills
