Head of School, Therese Allin, of Pope John Paul II High School announced today that Isabella Kondrat and Moriah Steinbrecher have been named Commended Students in the 2023 National Merit Scholarship Program.

About 34,000 Commended Students throughout the nation are being recognized for their exceptional academic promise. Isabella and Moriah placed among the top 50,000 students who entered the 2023 competition by taking the 2021 Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test.

“We are incredibly proud of this accomplishment by Isabella and Moriah,” Allin said. “Their academic achievement is only matched by their character and joy they bring to our school community every day.”
