It’s nearly 2020, and we have much to celebrate here at Rob Rice Homes and Epic Realty!

Salvation Army “Doing The Most Good” in Thurston County

On December 13, 2019, our team had the pleasure of attending the Thurston County Realtors Association (TCRA) Holiday Auction at the beautiful Indian Summer Golf and Country Club. Hot on the heels of our December 6 participation in The Salvation Army Ring the Realtor Day, we were all very excited to hear Rob Rice Homes and Epic Realty were announced the winners and to learn the total we raised in our community!

Thanks to the generous efforts of our friends and neighbors, Rob Rice Homes and Epic Realty came in first place for fundraising totals for the third year in a row! With your help, we were able to raise $7,764 this year, a full $1,000 more than we raised in 2018. Altogether, TCRA members raised $17,550. We couldn’t be happier, not just for the bragging rights that come with first place, but because 82 cents of every dollar raised go directly to needy individuals in Thurston County.

Thurston County is a wonderful place to call home, and it’s heartbreaking to know that some of our neighbors are unable to afford gifts, clothes and even shelter this holiday season. The fact that, with your generous donations, we could rally together to bring much-needed resources to our own community is incredible, and just one of the things that make The Salvation Army’s fundraising approach so important. Their commitment to “do the most good” is evident, and we are proud to partner with them and our friends at the TCRA for another year of giving.

Thurston County Realtor’s Association Announces New President

Of course, that’s not the only bright outcome from Friday’s luncheon! Our own Epic Realty broker, Christina Janis, was installed as the official President of the Thurston County Realtor’s Association (TCRA), and we couldn’t be prouder. Christina was Epic Realty’s Salesperson of the Year in 2018, and has spent her whole life living and working in and around the South Sound. She and her husband raised their daughters here, and she’s dedicated to making home ownership an attainable dream for Thurston County residents.

Christina has repeatedly stated that, “It all starts at home,” and she means it. Her work with the TCRA will allow her to connect with Realtors around the country and broaden her horizons as a broker and a member of the community. We look forward to seeing what she will accomplish as president, and couldn’t be happier for her.

Past, present and future, Christina is committed to the people of Thurston County. If you’d like to find your dream home in the area, contact her by sending her an email at Christina@RobRiceHomes.com or call 360-888-2295.
