In 1971 a postage stamp cost eight cents, the top song was Three Dog Night’s “Joy to the World,” and Richard Nixon was Time Magazine’s Man of the Year. Into that mixed bag stormed brand-new Southern rock legends Molly Hatchet. On Thursday, July 11, 2019 join them for a rockin’ good time at the Little Creek Casino Resort’s Skookum Creek Event Center.
Molly Hatchet started out in Jacksonville, Florida but you can see them much closer to home—only 15 miles from Olympia—thanks to Little Creek. Their first album hit stores “in 1978 and reached multi-platinum status as the band established their reputation of working hard, playing tough and living fast through intense touring with such bands as Aerosmith, Bob Seger, The Rolling Stones and many more…The band continued touring on the road with an average of 250 live shows per year.”
Perhaps their biggest album was 1979’s multi-platinum “Flirtin’ With Disaster.” But it’s just one of many that’s topped the charts and brought fans to their feet worldwide. With tour dates and shows from Miami to Hamburg, Shelton to Switzerland, don’t miss out on these living legends.
Despite a long, storied history, and fluctuating band members, Molly Hatchet is still going strong. Publicists explain that they toured to the Persian Gulf in 2017 to play for American service-members and traveled to Japan to entertain troops in the South Pacific.
