Forbes business specialists encourage professionals to make networking a vital part of their daily life. “Done right, networking can provide a range of benefits, including the exchange of knowledge, resources and ideas that can take your…career to the next level and foster friendships along the way.” And it doesn’t have to be difficult. “Networking comes in multiple forms: meeting people one-on-one, having a regular conference call with a mentor or peer, attending industry events or connecting via social media,” they say. “Similarly, networking can take place at work, in a meeting or at a social outing. Any situation that involves interaction with other people poses an opportunity for expanding a network.”

They suggest a few simple steps to remain strong: build genuine relationships, help your network, stay in touch, and diversify your events. All four are possible in one easy day at the South Sound Business and Career Expo. You’ll leave with new contacts, a bigger network, and having learned a thing or two. And that’s the best kind of day.
