Downtown Olympia’s Third Thursdays are a community celebration of local culture, art, food, music, and unique shopping experiences.

Whether you make it a date night, a fun outing with friends or a family adventure, there is so much to discover in our vibrant community, all set to live music from street performers.

On Thursday, November 15, close to 25 downtown shops, restaurants (listed below) and galleries will offer unique, third-Thursday promotions; several art galleries are holding artist receptions, and the community will enjoy food and beverage tastes at several boutiques.

Unique to the November 15 Third Thursday is the Friends Night Out fundraiser.  Purchase a $15 passport and then visit the list of participating businesses — such as Bittersweet Chocolates, Radiance Herbs, Compass Rose and Captain Little Toy Store, to name a few — who will stamp your passport and give you a unique gift. Proceeds from the sale of the passports go to Family Support Center of South Sound, a nonprofit fighting to prevent family homelessness in Thurston County. Learn more about Friends Night Out here.

Purchase passports online or on November 15 at the Olympia Downtown Alliance booth — set up from noon to 7 p.m. — in the US Bank parking lot located with the list of participating businesses and a special event bag the Olympia Downtown Alliance information booth. Every “Passport” also comes with a raffle entry for a prize package of gift certificates of participating retailers. Shoppers can earn more tickets with purchases at participating retailers.  Passports are limited – only 250 available and are $15 each.

Another fun element of each Third Thursday is the Challenge Game! Participating Third Thursday businesses will hand out game cards. Participants can visit each business to get another letter to solve the phrase of the month. Complete the phrase first and win!
