In response to customer requests, on June 5 the Thurston County Auditor’s Office expanded the number of property and other image types available online. By using the Thurston County Online Record Index the public can access images of some recorded documents, such as maps and deeds, for purposes ranging from property research to genealogy.

The decision to expand the number of document images online came after requests from stakeholders and a careful review of information contained on various document types.

Since moving to the current online recording software in 1996, the Auditor’s Office had made a limited number of document types available online, including maps and notices of trustee sales. Customers can now also view images of deeds and easements, among other document types.

The public can see a full list of newly available document image types and learn more by reading our fact sheet or by contacting the Thurston County Auditor’s Office Licensing and Recording Division at 360-786-5405, Monday through Friday 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
