The Oly Town Artesians open their 2018 preseason this weekend with at least three games at the Eddie Craggs Memorial Evergreen Cup tournament at Starfire Sports in Tukwila. They will then continue their preseason with a crosstown game against NCAA Division II Saint Martin’s on Saturday, April 28th in advance of their second season in the Evergreen Premier League.
The Artesians will face the Lacey Pocket Gophers of the Western Washington Premier League on Friday, April 20th at 8:45 PM in the opening game of the Evergreen Cup at Starfire. They will return to Tukwila on Saturday to face a pair of fellow EPLWA clubs in the Seattle Stars at 3:00 PM and the Tri-Cities Alliance at 7:00 PM. Should they qualify, the Artesians will play in the Cup playoffs beginning at 1:00 PM on Sunday afternoon.
The preseason continues Saturday, April 28th at 12:30 PM with a friendly against Saint Martin’s. Oly will travel to the Saint Martin’s Soccer Field to face the NCAA Division II squad during their spring training season. The Artesians have featured a handful of Saint Martin’s alumni on their roster over the years, including current goalkeeper JJ Olson.
The regular season begins on Saturday, May 5th with a trip to Bellingham to face Bellingham United at Phillips 66 Soccer Park at 5:00 PM.
The Artesians open their home slate on Sunday, May 13th at 4:00 PM at Black Hills High School. They will honor moms on Mother’s Day with flowers, prizes and more throughout the game.
