Sunday’s Downtown for the Holidays celebration was a smashing success and visitors managed to avoid getting wet during the afternoon’s festivities.
From gingerbread villages to scenes from the upcoming show Annie to the festive parade, this event is one that signals the true beginning of the holiday season for those of us in Thurston County. And this year, the culminating event – the tree lighting – was held on a newly planted permanent tree which will grow and be decorated for years to come.
